Laser speckle contrast imaging(LSCI)has shown it ssuccessfulness in full-field imaging of blood vessel and blood,with many advantages over the conventional laser Doppler flowmetry.Intraoperative monitoring of blood flow is of great interest in both clinical and experimental conditions,therefore,in this study we propose a design of a surgical microcopy that integrates both the standard operating microscope and the LSCI imager for intraoperatively imaging the blood flow.An iPAD is used for real time monitoring through WIFI connection to the image acquisition and processing computer.The system is called imaging surgical microscope,or iSurgScope.Such a system is particularly useful for vascular surgeries,for example,middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO)or neurovascular operations.
