This paper presents the initiatives of Finance Accreditation Agency(FAA)in aligning academic curricula to industry requirements, particularly from the perspective of the financial services industry(FSI).The varying expectations between higher education institutions(HEIs)and FSI have warranted FAA to look into ways as to how these gaps can be narrowed.Several measures have been introduced to align academic curricula to the needs of the FSI which are presented in this paper. To some extent, this is evident from the cooperation and coalition FAA has formed with various stakeholders. This paper ends with several recommendations on how external quality assurance agencies(EQAAs)can support this important initiative.
