In this study,we reported a simple surface modification process that induced the magnetic nanoparticles to be functionalized with 5-(4-carboxyphenyl)-10,15,20 triphenyl porphyrin.Photofunctionality was provided by the photosensitizer of porphyrin,without the loss of photofuctionality and magnetism.Photocatalytic activity of the photofunctional magnetic nanoparticles was evaluated by the photosensitized oxidation reaction of trinitrophenol in water under visible light irradiation( λ > 450 nm).The photofunctional magnetic nanoparticles were investigated by transmission electron microscopy,vibrating sample magnetometry.
