This study was carried out to investigate the effect of different pretreatment methods on ginsenoside quantification in raw Korean ginseng (Panax ginseng C.A.meyer).Major eight ginsenosides (Rb1,Rb2,Rb3,Rc,Rd,Re,Rf and Rg1) were analyzed by HPLC,then the recovery and reproducibility of those ginsenosides were compared according to three pretreatment methods (1.direct extraction method,hot MeOH extraction/direct filtration; 2.BuOH method,hot MeOH extraction/n-BuOH fractionation; 3.solid state extraction (SSE) method,hot MeOH extraction/C18 cartridge adsorption/MeOH elution).
