　　PV Module Guarantees are gaining more and more importance for the successful marketing of PV modules.As a consequence,the scope of such guarantees has been significantly extended by the manufacturers over the last years.This particularly holds true with respect to the term of the performance guarantee.Terms of 25 years and longer have become an industry standard.Despite such improvements it can be still difficult for the purchaser to legally enforce such guarantees in case of non-performance.Sometimes the guarantee must be enforced overseas in remote jurisdictions,sometimes the purchaser must provide numerous evidences and (flash) test results before his claim is accepted.Further,in some cases the purchaser must pay the entire exchange costs of the non performing modules which might devaluate the guarantee.Against this background the presentation of Dr.Aha will provide (i) an overview of the current standards of up-to-date module guarantees and (ii) detail potential legal restrictions if a module guarantee shall be actually enforced by the module purchaser.
