  A low-cost tunable distributed feedback (DFB) semiconductor laser using cascade approach is proposed and fabricated based on the reconstructive-equivalent-chirp (REC) tec hnique,in which holographic exposure and conventional photolithography are used to achieve various complex grating structures equivalently.
