Background: In recent years, many studies have found that the interaction of advanced glycation end products (AGEs) and receptor for advanced glycation end products (RAGE) play an important role in the development of diabetic osteoporosis.Pentosidine is one kind of AGEs, its content is positively correlated related with the number of fluorescence AGEs, and a linear correlation between the plasma pentosidine concentrations and cortical bone pentosidine has been found.
