A novel approach was proposed to prepare the multiwall carbon nanotube(MWNT) / nylon 6 resin nanocomposite with the aid of free radical reaction.A reactive compatibilizer, polyolefin grafted maleic anhydride, was employed to produce the chemical bonding between Nylon 6 and the modified MWNT.The physical properties of these MWNT / nylon 6 resin nanocomposite were studied.From the results, adding MWNT can improve the tensile strength and flexural strength of nanocomposites when the MWNT content was below 2.5wt%.In thermal properties of nanocomposites, the higher MWNT contents, the better improvement in Tg of nanocomposites.
