Bacillariphyta dynamics in the main rivers of northwest part of Taihu basin

The composition and the spatial distribution ofphytoplankton were studied in the main rivers of northwest part of Taihu basin in April 2014.Samples were collected at 79 sites,which were mainly located in Changzhou city.In total, 67 species belong to eight phytoplankton groups were identified.Bacillariophyta, with 11 genera,was dominated in the phytoplankton biomass and accounted for 50％ of mean total biomass.
