Phytochrome A (phyA) is the sole photoreceptor in Arabidopsis that mediates the far-red light response,facilitating seedling adaptation to a canopy environment.Its chaperone FHY1(FAR-RED ELONGATED HYPOCOTYL 1) is known to be involved in each step of phyA signaling,including phyA nuclear translocation,interaction with transcription factors and association with gene promoters.
