Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIP) can be synthesized for the specific recognition of epitops with affinities comparable of antibodies.But the utility of such novel materials has to be proven for the applicability to complex biological samples to be considered as an alternative or surrogate for existing alternatives.Hereto,we demonstrate for the first time that MIPs designed for the capture of phosphoserine (pS) are able to fulfill these criteria.
