　　In this work,an efficient approach to synthesize diphenolic acid(DPA)catalyzed by phosphotungstic acid using microwave irradiation with the assistance of ultrasound was developed.The effects of ratio of phenol to levulinic acid(LA),the loading of catalyst,reaction temperature and time on the DPA yield were investigated systematically.
