Objective:To study the mechanisms that acupuncture therapy of "Shuanggu Yitong" can treat postmenopausal osteoporosis (PMO).Methods:Choosing female SD rats aged 9~10 months then resecting double ovaries and feeding them for 90 days in order to make the model of experimental osteoporosis.Then,dividing them into 5 groups such as control group,regular acupoints applying group,Shuanggu group,Yitong group,Shuanggu Yitong group,with 12 rats each group.
