Auxin is an essential phytohormone involved in various aspects of plant growth and development.Auxin signaling is mediated by a derepression mechanism through promoting the proteasomal degradation of the Auxin/INDOLE 3-ACETIC ACID(Aux/IAA) transcriptional repressors that directly inhibit the activity of AUXIN RESPONSE FACTORS.
