Lower Hybrid (LH) waves,among all other H & CD systems,have demonstrated the largest Current Drive (CD) efficiency on low temperature and relatively high density tokamak plasmas.LHCD experiments at high density aims at understanding the complex physics underlying the phenomena that could prevent penetration of Lower Hybrid (LH) waves in reactor relevant high-density plasma,which have been investigated in C-Mod and FTU.
