　　This paper presents a fast and reliable method for automated extraction of Optic Disc (OD) in digital retinal imges.Adaptive Edge detection is used to obtain OD boundary from images and Circular Hough Transform is employed to get final OD region.This method is tested with MESSIDOR database and successfully detects OD region in images even with poor quality.
