This paper presents an iterative method based on a self adjoint and mAccretive splitting for the numerical treatment of the steady state neutron transport equation in 2-D plane geometry.Theoretical results show the convergence of the method.The convergence of the method is numerically illustred and compare with the standard source iteration method on a sample problem.
