　　Erythropoietin has been used in anemia of diabetic nephropathy patients for decades.However, high-dose chronic EPO treatment may be associated with adverse effects.Here we discovered a small molecule inducer of EPO,EH-201, activated EPO-mediated hemoglobin expression and mitochondrial function in non-hematopoietic cells.
