Thisresearch paper addresses several aspects.First, it suggests key findings from the major investigation provided at Karlstad University in Sweden aimed at revealing how prevailing logics of 'smart specialisation' and 'smartness' affect the implementation choices at the regional development level in view of the different interpretations of 'smartness' within regions.Second, taking account of the influence of integration and crisis upon several fields of entrepreneurship (service in tourism and recreation, education and couching, retail, IT and production, and other) , it presents the work in progress on several key logics, such as, the 'competition' and 'innovation' logics, the 'development' logic, the logic of Europeanisation and institutional capacity building discussed in relation to the respective operational capacities in unstable regions for individual entrepreneurial actors.
