The education goal of the colleges and universities is to promote the quality-oriented education in all aspects so as to improve the comprehensive quality of the students; to deepen the school-running mode of the higher education to enhance the quality-oriented education of the university students.The public art education in the colleges and universities is one of the important methods to promote the quality-oriented education.The main form of the public art education in the colleges and universities is to appreciate the art works through the multi-media courses.In the art appreciating class, the teachers mainly adopt the teaching method of static visual form and put more emphasis on the visual esthetics.Through this teaching method, the esthetic appreciation abilities of the university students have been greatly improved which in turn promotes the students imaging and recognition abilities.Finally the goals of cultivating students lofty moral sentiment and sound personality will be achieved by helping them to establish correct outlook on life, values and the world.Based on many years of teaching experience, the author researches the effective and innovative reformation through the aspects of teaching concept, teaching orientation, teaching method, teaching content and teaching assessment so as to realize the goals of cultivating students comprehensive abilities and promoting the implementing of the concept of quality-oriented education in the colleges and universities.
