东胡林人遗址位于北京市门头沟区斋堂镇东胡林村西永定河支流清水河北岸的二级阶地的马兰黄土上,高出清水河河床约29米。1966年4月,北京大学地质地理系学生实习时发现,由中国科学院古脊椎动物与古人类研究所进行了调查和发掘,并将发现的三个人骨个体命名为“东胡林人”。~([1])1995年春,北京大学地质系师生在调查时又在遗址断面发现一具人骨,并采集有螺壳项链和石制品等。后经国家文物局批准,北京市文物研究所和北京大学考古文博学院联合组成考古队,在多次调查的基础上,于
The site of the East Hualin People is located on Malan Loess, a second-level terraces of the north bank of Qingshui River, a tributary of the West Yongding River in Donghulin Village, Zhaitou Town, Mentougou District, Beijing, about 29 meters above the riverbed of Qingshui River. In April 1966, Peking University Geography Department student internships found that by the Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropoenia conducted a survey and excavation, and found that three individual human bone named “East Hualin”. ~ ([1]) In the spring of 1995, teachers and students from the Department of Geology of Peking University found a human bone in the section of the site during the investigation.
