Background and Objective The contribution of HLA--DR-DO genes to susceptibility to T1DM has been well described in Caucasian population.In Chinese population, several studies in low genotyping resolution or with small sample sizes about association of DR or DO gene with T1DM have been conducted.However.the role of DR-DO genotype and haplotype is still unclear.The aim of this study is to examine systematically the susceptible and protective HLA-DR-DO alleles, genotypes and haplotypes in a large Chinese Han samples with T1DM patients.
