Nanoparticles (NPs) with plasmonic absorption properties have attracted extensive research attention due to their applications to catalysis,biodiagnosis,electronic,photonic,and sensor devices [1].The intrinsic property of a NP strongly depend on its size and shape.Controlled synthesis of NPs is thus important for uncovering their composition-,size-,and morphology-dependent properties as well as achieving their applications.Here,we will present a facile and effective route for the controllable synthesis of high-quality metal and metal@semiconductor NPs with well-defined morphology and shape,as well as tailored size.
