　　Arid zone geomorphology is a product by long-term interactions of various agents including water and wind.Recently,increasing works have concentrated on aeolian-fluvial interactions in dryland environments,and the associations between deserts and rivers landforms and its connectivity,recognized the important role of rivers in providing sand provenances and spaces for desert development,as well as the influences and controlling of aeolian activity upon river landforms.But there is still a lack of comprehensive data on large watersheds scale to support it.In this paper,on the base of remote sensing data,maps of desert and watershed distributions,classification of aeolian landforms,we analysis statistically the morphological parameters related to 12 deserts and 10 watersheds in dryland of northern China.In view of the relationship between deserts and rivers,the geomorphic structure of drainage basins of northern China can be overall divided into 5 large drainage zones;i.e.northwestern drainage (ND),western drainage (WD),drainage of northern Qinghai-T 24 ibet plateau (PD) middle drainage (MD) and eastern drainage (ED).
