Objective The polymorphic angiotensin converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) genes is one of the most promising candidates for essential hypertension.The aim of this study was to examine the association between the G8790A variant of the ACE2 gene and the blood presstre,pulse pressure, and mean arterial pressure response to angiotensinconverting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor in hypertensive subjects.
