This paper presents a seismic repairing of reinforcement concrete bridge column using steel jacketing. An OpenSees-based simulation model of bridge column, considering inelastic flexure, bond slip, and buckling behavior, was first proposed and verified by 9 cyclical loading tests. It is found that the maximum drift ratio approaches to 6% according to 6 case studies.Simple parametric study was also conducted to study the effect of the near fault earthquake on the RC bridge column behavior. It is observed that the near fault earthquake ground motion is more likely to cause more severe damage to the structure due to the very high input energy introduced to the structure at very short time. Therefore,an experimental program was conducted in order to understand the repairing efficiency from 3 cyclical loading tests.
