Objective:The facial skin defects were caused by those birthmarks,such as naevi and vessel deformities,or burned scars.The small or moderate skin defects can be treated by single or serial excision,skin grafting,local flap or expanded local flap transposition.Generally,skin expansion technique was used regularly and considered as an effective mean to expand and transfer the neighbored normal skin tissue to repair facial skin defect.However,clinically,one special and more difficult problem encountered was lack of local available normal skin because of multi-unit defects or operational complications,and challenged us.In order to solve this problem,in this article,we introduced and discussed the distant tubed expanded flap technique.
