Copper lead and copper zinc borate glasses with different copper content were prepared.Their structure was characterized by optical absorption, electron spin resonance (ESR), Raman and infrared (IR) spectroscopy, and mechanical properties were investigated through the mechanical resonance technique and indentation measurement.
