Observables used to diagnose atmospheric dynamics include wind, temperature and variations in parameters related to constituents.Interferometric methods have the potential to provide simultaneous information on all three of these observables. In this talk, several interferometric methods(Fabry-Perot,Spatial Heterodyne Spectroscopy and Doppler Imaging with field-widened Michelson interferometers)which have been used in the past for this purpose are reviewed including a discussion of the sampling and filtering characteristics of each.
