A Bacillus subtilis strain W2-24 has been approved officially for bio-fungicide agent controlling wheat diseases.A new and suitable formulation are in development. The fermentation broth of the W2-24 was extracted with three organic solvents (Hexane, Ethyl acetate, n-Butyl ethanol) to find an efficient method enriching the active components antagonistic to wheat take-all pathogen Gaeumannomyces graminis var.tritici..The result revealed that the ethyl acetate extract possessed the strongest activities. The ethyl acetate extract was identified as the main components of the observed antagonistic activity. These extracts were further purified with TLC and HPLC.The result showed that these active components have high similarity in polarity.Further purification and analysis are in progress with other techniques.
