Peronophythora litchii, the cause of downy blight on litchi, was classified as a transitional species between Phytophthora and Peronospora belonging to single family, single genus, and single species.Its distinctive morphological feature is the multideterminate sporangiophore, different to indeterminate of Phytophthora and determinate of Peronospora.In this study, its genome was sequenced.
