A large plasma sheet with 60cm×60cm×2cm is generated by hollow cathode.Measurements are conducted to diagnose the characteristics of a 60cm×60cm×2cm large area plasma sheet.Since the duration of high voltage pulse is short,we adjust methods and modification for electron saturation current to collect the real parameters.The two-dimensional electron density and electrical field dislribution are calculated at different discharge currents which are l-6A.Meanwhile we discuss other parameters relevant to density distribution.The electron density distribution is important for plasma sheet to steering microwave.It is encouraging that large area plasma sheet generated by the hollow cathode is uniform and has sufficient electron density to reflect X-band microwaves.Index Terms-Plasma density distribution,plasma sheet,Langmuir probe array.
