  In competitive markets,it is essential to improve the productivity,which can be achieved by raising the material removal rate.Yet,the dynamic behavior of the machine tool structures,process parameters and the complexity of the process itself can give rise to instabilities which restrict the performance of machines.Simulation models for machining processes and simulation-based machine development can help to optimize process planning and control.These models need to be parameterized and validated.
