Light harvesting polymers are macromolecules that contain many individual chromophore unitsthat interact via weak dipole-dipole (F(o)rster) or exchange (Dexter) interactions.Thesepolychromophores feature macromolecular molar absorptivity (> 106 M-1cm-1),and they are able toefficiently absorb visible photons and transport excitations over nanometer distances.Mechanismsand timescales for energy transport in light harvesting polymers are of interest,as well as their use atsemiconductor interfaces to transport excitations and charge,and facilitate light-induced chargeseparation.
