  Objective: There is remarkable difference between official report of WHO on the rate suicide and the results of research projects.The main purpose of this study is to gathering, reporting and analyzing the data, through systematic review of the studies in order to better understanding and presenting the epidemiology of suicide behaviours among EMR countries.Methods: The study design was systematic review of studies on the suicide behaviours.Six international and available national electronic databases were searched for relevant articles according to key words of nationality, the methods of data gathering and the outcomes.Two reviewers independently extracted data from studies that reported the prevalence of thoughts, plans, attempted and committed suicide based on community sample.Results: 31 articles were assessed in this systematic review, Seventeen on committed suicide, 13 on attempted suicide, 3 on plans of suicide and 6 on thoughts of suicide (in 8 articles, several suicide behaviours were evaluated).Using Meta-analysis, the prevalence of committed suicide were 5.1 (Legal Medicine data) to 6.6 (Primary Health Care data) in Iran and 1.3 per 100000 people in Pakistan.Narrative report showed the life time and one-year prevalence of attempted suicide were 1.4 to 4.2 and 1 percent respectively, for plans of suicide life-time and one-year prevalence were 6.2 to 6.7 percent and 2.9 to 9.6 respectively, for thoughts of suicide life-time and one-year were 2.9 to 14.1 and 5.7 to 13 percent respectively.Conclusion: Overall, rare articles have been published on suicide behaviours from WHO/EMR.Evidences on the prevalence of suicide behaviours mental diagnosis and demographic features, based on national community sample, are inadequate.
