Ligand grafting has been shown to enhance nanoparticle transport across the epithelium barrier and is expected to improve drug absorption [1].However,anchoring of these ligands to a nanocrystal (NC) surface is a critical challenge due to the shedding of ligands along with the stabilizer upon high dilution or dissolving of the drug.Here,we were trying to formulate a non-sheddable nanocage to graft wheat germ agglutinin (WGA) to the surface of itraconazole NCs for efficient oral drug delivery.
