Developmental genetic analysis was conducted for total length, standard length, pro-dorsal height, pro-dorsal width and body weight of Oujiang color common carp (Cyprinus carpio var.color) by mixed genetic model based on complete diallel crosses made by the five complete set lines of Oujiang color common carp at April in 2009.TL, SL, PDH and PDW and BW of all fish in each tank, five growth traits of 875 color carps in all, were measured and recorded monthly for analysis from August in 2009 to December in 2010.The genetic model with additive, dominance, maternal and paternal effects were used for analyzing developmental quantitative traits of 25 combination types of Oujiang color common carp,concluding the unconditional and conditional variances.Our experiment result displays that paternal effects were evidently higher than maternal effects, and Oujiang color common carp is suitable for paternal brooders, According to unconditional and conditional analysis, new and calculated additive genetic effect of growth traits have relatively high levels in B8/B7 and B9/B8, it is suggested that 8-9 month would be better for selecting than other months.
