Super-capacitors using activated carbon (AC) as electrode, as a new-generation and important energy storage system, were already used commercially in consumer electronics, industrial power and energy management. The apparent advantage of AC lies in their super large surface area to endow the super-capacitors with high energy and power densities. But it suffers the relatively poor stability especially in high current. It is probably owing to low proton transfer efficieney, considering the relatively poor contact of AC particles. Here we proposed the addition of aligned carbon nanotubes (A-CNTs), which is aligned and long, to enhance the conductive network between different AC particles.
