Evodia rutaecarpa (Juss.) Benth.is an original plant of commonly used herbal medicines.The Evodia fluffs (Wu-Chu-Yu) have been used in traditional chinese prescriptions for the treatment of headache,abdominal pai n,migraine,chill limbs,postpartum hemorrhage,dysmenorrhea,diarrhea,nausea and hyperbaropathy.The crude total alkaloids were enriched by acid-base treatment and their isolation and purification were carried out by column chromatographies and recrysta llization etc.The Evodia fruits have been used in traditional chinese prescriptions.In our phytochemical investigations of E.rutaecarpa and E.rutaecarpa passed with Liquorice,17 quinoline alkaloids,8 limonins,7 flavonoids,7triterpenoids and 11 other compounds were obtained.
