The purpose of the study was to compare the difference of a typical Tai Chi form – Brush Knee Twist Step(BKTS)in Tai Chi practitioners at different stages during their years of training.Fifteen subjects were recruited and assigned to three groups according to their years of Tai Chi training.Force platforms and video system were employed for temporal and spatial analysis respectively. The results indicated that subject with longer training duration achieved longer total movement time, longer double leg support time, larger range in knee abduction/adduction and hip joint abduction/adduction.The longer time in shifting of body weight from one leg to another may impact on the postural control or balance of body in long-term Tai Chi practitioners.
