Photoinitiator (PI) is one of the most important components in photoinitiating system (PIS) as PI absorbs certain wavelengths of light (and interacts with relevant additives through electro transfer or energy transfer reactions)to generate active species (e.g.radicals or cations) for the initiation of various types of photopolymerization reactions.
