　　Photodynamic therapy(PDT)is a light-triggered cancer therapy method that induces the creation of singlet oxygen or other free radicals through photo-biochemical processes1.Photodynamic therapy can be considered as promising treatment with comparable effectiveness but without side effects characteristic for chemotherapy.Folate and heptamethine cyanine(Cy7)-modified chitosan(CF7)was synthiesized and its self-assembled nanoparticles were developed for tumor-specific imaging and photodynamic therapy.
