Imaging of enzyme activities is a crucial technique in development of theragnosis because it is indispensable in diagnosis of various diseases. For example,it is well known that matrix metalloproteinases are abundant in pathological conditions such as cancer, osteoarthritis (OA),and rheumatoid arthritis (RA).Also protein kinases play an important role in cell signaling. In addition, monitoring of therapeutic effect can be possible by visualization of caspase activities since they are closely related to apoptosis of cells. We developed new imaging probes to detect activities of various enzymes such as matrix metalloproteinases, caspase, and protein kinase. In this presentation,it will be discussed, how we developed those probes and applied to visualize enzyme activities
