Separation and purification are the key steps for the production of proteins expressed by recombinant DNA technology [1-2],and chromatographic methods play the central role in the downstream processes.Of the various chromatographic methods based on the different interactions between ligands and proteins, hydrophobic charge induction chromatography (HCIC) is an adsorption chromatography combining hydrophobic interaction in adsorption with electrostatic repulsion in elution [3].It is advantageous in its salt-independent adsorption, high capacity related to the high ligand density and easy elution of the captured products.
