Introduction: Artificial dermal has been used for burn treatment, in both acute and chronic phases, have gained great importance.Objective: To evaluate the effect of using Cografts of artificial dermis and autogenetic split-thickness skin in treating deep burn in the hands on large burned patients.Material and Methods: Patients with hands burned were eschar excised or eschar shaved.28 patients treated with cografts of artificial dermis frame and autogenetic split-thickness skin to cover the hands was referred to treatment group.And 30 patients treated with autogenetic mid-thickness skin as control group.Compare the wound healing time, the appearance and function of the two groups.Results and Conclusion: The treating group' s wound healing time (24.22±3.34 days) were longer than the control group' (13.42±3.36 days),while it' s donor site healing time were shorter than the control group' s (7.14±1.63 vs.14.28±2.37 days).The differences were statistical significance (P<0.05).After operation we made a follow-up for 3-6 months, no difference in terms of the appearance and function in the injured hands occurred between the two groups.But compaired with the control group, there was no bovious scar formation and pigmentation in the repaired area in the treating group.Repairing of deep burn of hands with ARTIFICIAL DERMIS FRAME was beneficial to both wound healing and donor site, which was also helpful to the reconstruction of the hand function.
