As an ideal hypersonic configuration with a high lift-drag ratio,the waverider has become one kind of attracted configurations for some special purposes.In the conceptual design,the stability and control of the waverider vehicle need to be evaluated rapidly.The commercial CFD software Cart3D uses an adaptive Cartesian mesh for numerical simulating the inviscid hypersonic flow,and it can quickly get lots of aerodynamic data for the design and analysis of aerodynamic configurations.This paper makes uses of Cart3D to analyse the aerodynamic characteristics of a waverider-based hypersonic vehicle,and then uses these aerodynamic data to analyse its stability and control.The efficiency and accuracy of Cart3D used for analysing stability and control in the conceptual design of waverider-based hypersonic vehicles are verified in this paper.
