　　Objective: Glycosyltransferases play an important role in the biosynthesis of triterpenesaponins in ginseng species.However, the funcational characterization of Glycosyltransferases in the biosyntheticpathways remainslargely unknown.This study focused on cloning and analysis of one UDP-glycosyltransferasegene inthe ginsenosidebiosynthetic pathway in American ginseng (Panaxquinquefolius L.).Methods: After searching the transcriptome database of four-year-old P.quinquefolius, hundreds of glycosyl transferases sequences were discovered.
