  4-nitrochlorobenzene and 2-nitrochlorobenzene are important raw materials for the chemical industry.The present actual production condition,4 main production methods of them in China and abroad are zones melting process,stepped crystallization process,catalytic hydrogenation method and dynamic crystallization process.Recently,many types of column crystallizers have been used in order to separate and purify organic compounds in chemical industries.And its process is continuous multistage countercurrent fractional crystallization.That is a new and potential technique for separation and purification,and the evolvement of exploitation work in foreign countries has been rather active in recent years.The principle of colunm crystallization is based on the use of a tower crystal container operated in a continuous multistage countercurrent mode,which makes effective contacting and mass transport between the crystals and melt possible [1-3].Compared with stepped crystallization process and the dynamic crystallization,it has many advantages,not only it has higher separation efficiency,lower energy consumption,fewer investment for equipment and higher product purity,but also it deals with the difficulty for distillation to separate the azeotropic and thermo sensitive mixtures.Australia [4] has been developed Brodie crystallizer to purify 4-nitrochlorobenzene and 2-nitrochlorobenzene.
