Post-stall maneuverability is one of the design goals for the 4th generation fighter. This design goal creates new challenges for the aircraft designer.During Post-stall maneuvers, which are characterized by high angles of attack and large rotation rates, the dynamic and time-dependent effects of the nonlinear flow characteristics like flow separation, vortex shedding and lag effects contribute significantly to the behavior and maneuvering capability of the aircraft[1].
