OBJECTIVE: Epoxidized eicosatetraenoic acid (EETs) is one of the metabolites of arachidonic acid (AA) and has the effect of relieving hypertension, relaxing coronary arteries and anti-inflammatory effects. EETs can be hydrolyzed by soluble epoxidase (sEH) to DHETs; soluble epoxide oxidase inhibitor (sEHI) can inhibit the hydrolysis of EETs to exert its effect. The purpose of this study was to explore the mechanism of sEHI in the development of atherosclerosis and to explore the role of metabolites of AA in atherosclerosis with metabonomics.
